Concert to benefit Center for the Arts

Melissa Ferrick from Boston headlines a singer-songwriter showcase which is at and benefits the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley on Feb. 27.

Since 1993, rocker Ferrick released several CDs, including “Massive Blur,” “Willing to Wait,” the live “Melissa Ferrick + 1,” “Everything I Need in September,” “Freedom” and “Listen Hard.”

Also performing will be New York City-based Anne Heaton, who released her first CD, “Black Notebook” in September.

Opening the 8 p.m. showcase is Xavier from Australia.

Admission is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are at Herb Shop Records, BriarPatch and Book Seller.
