Good Citizens Award given to three high school grads

Three students from western Nevada County high schools were awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizens Award by the local Daughters of the American Revolution Captain John Oldham Chapter. Winners, who were chosen by their schools for the award, include Grace McDaniel of Bear River High School; Ivy Brott of Nevada Union High School; and Natalie Hays of Ghidotti Early College High School. McDaniel plans to attend the University of Nevada at Reno, Brott will attend the Clark Honors College at University of Oregon, and Hays will attend the University of California, Davis.
