Colossal blunder

Let me see if I understand the invasion of Iraq. A bunch of Saudis brainwashed by Islamic extremists (originally set up by our CIA and operating on petrodollars in Afghanistan) come to the U.S.

Here they hijack four airliners with box cutters “100,000 lbs. of kerosene barreling through the air at 500 mph. These flying bombs have cardboard doors to the cockpits and the pilots have long ago been banned from carrying any means of self-defense. This entire machine is completely defenseless.

The solution is to send a massive military into Iraq on false pretenses and so far kill 15,000 and maim 75,000 people who were not terrorists. The Russians did something just about as dumb on a grander scale lasting 10 years in Chechnya. Now they live in constant fear of suicidal terrorist reprisals.

There is a time and a place for large land armies and brute force, but Iraq is not one of them. The war against terror needs to be run by the intelligence community and special operations on a co-operative world wide basis.

George Bush is basically saying ” look, I made a colossal blunder and now we need my unwavering leadership to save us.
