Colleen Bowers

Memorial services for Colleen R. Bowers of North San Juan will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Life Center, 13010 State Highway 49 in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Bowers died Thursday, Sept. 12, in North San Juan. She was 74.



She was born March 26, 1928, in Michigan to Emery McLaughlin and Harriet Gladding. She married Bob Bowers in 1947 in Reno. She owned a tavern.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Kent Jackson of Grass Valley; nieces Kathy Chavez of Layton, Utah, and Chery Boqucki of Washington; nephew, Gary Chatfield of Utah; grandsons John Bowers and Vince Jackson, both of Folsom, and Bruce Bywaters of North San Juan; granddaughters Angela Benham of North San Juan, Trish Vaughn of Pennsylvania and Amber Shallenberger of Vallejo; and numerous great-grandchildren.




She was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Morris.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
