Cohousing Lofts project slide show, discussion Friday

A slide show that will explore plans for a cohousing and café project called “Cohousing Lofts” in Grass Valley will be held Friday evening at the Holbrooke Hotel.

Presented by Kathryn McCamant, architect and principal of CoHousing Partners, the slide show will introduce plans being considered for an age-restricted (55 plus) community that is within walking distance of supermarkets, shops and restaurants, as well as Wolf Creek. This would be adjacent to a multi-generational cohousing community that is in the planning stages. The site is at the corner of Freeman Lane and West McKnight Way.

McCamant and her husband, architect Charles Durrett, have designed cohousing neighborhoods throughout North America. The presentation begins at 6 p.m. at 212 Main St. Contact or 297-7115 for more information. Go online at for more background on this concept.
