Co-author of "Chicken Soup for the Writer’s Soul" to discuss writing tonight

Bud Gardner, co-author of “Chicken Soup for the Writer’s Soul” and former writing instructor at American River College, will discuss “Writing for Fun and Profit” Wednesday at the Madelyn Helling Library.

Gardner has inspired his students to earn more than $10,000,000 by selling more than 6,000 articles and 185 books, reaching an estimated 600 million readers worldwide. This achievement earned him the Most Inspirational Writing Coach in America award.

Open to the public, Gardner’s free, 7 p.m. presentation is sponsored by Sierra Writers. A short general meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.

The library is at 980 Helling Way in Nevada City, next to the Rood Administration Center off of Route 49. The meeting will be in the Community Room.

Sierra Writers meets the second Wednesday of each month. For more information, call Jan Westmore at 265-0718.
