Club news: Nevada County Beekeepers Association

The Nevada County Beekeepers Association will meet Monday at the Veteran’s Memorial Building on South Auburn Street in Grass Valley at 7 p.m. All visitors are welcome. Questions about the state of your hives? Getting ready for spring? What to do next? Join our lively regular question and answer session starting promptly at 7 p.m. followed by a brief meeting, refreshments and a great program.

For our February program, Janet Brisson will share information from her research on the internet to her travels to various beekeeping clubs and conferences she attended last year. Plus the latest on using powdered sugar year round and caging you queens this summer for Varroa Mite control. If you want to keep your bees alive, you must learn to manage the varroa mite in your colonies. For more information call our president, Shane Mathias at 346-2660.
