Clayton Foss

Memorial services for Clayton K. Foss of Auburn will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lake of the Pines Clubhouse.

Mr. Foss died Monday, Feb. 10. He was 85.



He was born Oct. 14, 1917, in South Dakota to Oscar V. Foss and Harriet (Hall) Foss.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate, First Class, from 1941 to 1945. His education included the Hospital Corps School in San Diego and the School of Mortuary Science in San Francisco.




Mr. Foss was self-employed in the feed supplement business and was a member of the California Grain and Feed Association. He enjoyed fishing and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne Foss; daughters Holly Jeanne and Terry Janelle; sons Kenneson Robert and Gregory Wayne; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sutter-Auburn Faith Hospice and the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
