Clarence Davis

Graveside services for Clarence E. Davis of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Sierra Hills Memorial Park in Roseville.

Mr. Davis died Tuesday, Jan. 28, at home. He was 76.



He was born on May 20, 1926, in Oakland, to Clarence and Violet Davis. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He attended U.C. Davis, received an AA Degree in 1949 from Sacramento Junior College and an electrical engineering drafting degree from Heald’s Business College in 1958.

He married Alberta Haner on March 12, 1949. He worked for Aerojet as an engineer for 30 years. He was a member of the Ben Ali Temple, and the Masonic Lodge in Sacramento. He showed prize Angus bulls for a number of years and owned and raced thoroughbred horses. He enjoyed traveling and had hunted all over the world. He also enjoyed camping with his wife in Yosemite.




He is survived by his long-time caregiver, Ronda Keller.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Davis, on Feb. 9, 2001.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
