Clara Foley

Graveside services for Clara R. Foley of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mrs. Foley died Thursday, Feb. 20, in Grass Valley. She was 74.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1929, in Danville, Ark., to Wes and Gertrude Baker. She attended school in Danville, Ark. She married Jack Foley on Oct. 4, 1946, in Danville, Ark. She worked at the Camarillo Sate Hospital in Ventura County for 25 years. She was a member of the Nevada City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.



She is survived by her husband, Jack Foley of Grass Valley; son, Michael Foley of Nevada City; sisters Lorene Septer and Berta Hawkins of Nevada City and Wanda Shaw of Auburn; grandson, Trevor Wilson of Rodeo; and great-grandson, Tyler Wilson of Rodeo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wes Baker; mother, Gertrude Baker; sisters Sylvia Brady and Gracie Horn; and brother, Lowell Baker.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
