Claim is egregious

With President Bush’s push to send more troops to Iraq and Afghanistan some important facts are being overlooked. First, the troops that are being deployed are under-trained, under-equipped, and many are suffering from battle fatigue incurred from previous deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. I support our troops.

I do not want them sent to war under the previously stated conditions. I want them brought home to be reunited with their families, to receive adequate medical and psychiatric care, and to be removed from harm’s way.

I deeply resent being labeled as unpatriotic or ‘anti-troop’ because I do not support the President’s plan to send more troops to the Middle East. Some Republicans are asserting that anyone who opposes the President’s plan is against the troops. This is a most egregious claim.

The media needs to stop propagating such claims, get the real facts and do some responsible and accurate reporting. That is your job! DO IT!
