Cigarettes butt in

As a participant in this year’s Sierra Festival of the Arts, I would like to say kudos. What a wonderful event full of fabulous art and great public attendance.

To the smokers of Grass Valley – shame on you for littering the streets and sidewalk with your nasty cigarette habit. The gutters of the streets were jam-packed with cigarettes, as were the edges of the sidewalks. We bought a small dustpan and sweeper so we didn’t have to stand in the filth much less set our artwork on it.

To the city of Grass Valley, shame on you for not cleaning up the sidewalks and streets to provide the vendors of this wonderful art show (in its 25th year) a clean and sanitary venue. It was the same situation last year, hopefully not next year.
