Christopher Marbry

Services for Christopher Max Marbry of Grass Valley were conducted Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nevada City. Bishop Jack Emery officiated. Burial followed at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mr. Marbry died Sunday, Oct. 29, in Grass Valley. He was 29.

He was born Oct. 18, 1977, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Michael and Lori Marbry. He married Sonja Huseboe in 1996. He was an automotive detailer and construction worker. He was an artist and a fan of the Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed tropical fish and auto detailing.



He is survived by his wife, Sonja of Grass Valley; children Michelle, Daniel and Brianna of Grass Valley; father, Mike Marbry of Colorado Springs, Colo.; mother, Lori Fernandes of Escondido; brothers Mike Marbry of Fresno and Ryan Marbry of Colorado Springs; and sisters Heather Marbry of Grass Valley and Tiffany Marbry of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Memorial contributions may be made to a trust account at Bank of America in Glenbrook Basin in Chris Marbry’s name, to raise money for expenses and for his wife and three children.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
