Christena O’Connors

Services for Christena J. O’Connors of Grass Valley will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Burial will be at Rose Hills in Whittier.

Mrs. O’Connors died Friday, Nov. 1, in Grass Valley. She was 71.



She was born April 25, 1931, in Highland Park to James W. and Jessie E. Coe. She married Donald H. O’Connors. She was a homemaker, cashier and church volunteer. She was a member of the Bible Study Fellowship at Twin Cities Church. She enjoyed her family, friends, grandchildren and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Julie and Bob Springer of Reno, and Cathy and Ron Michaelis of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Lori O’Connors of Downey; son, Phillip O’Connors of Virginia Beach; and grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Christy, Donald, Ashley, Amanda, Katie and Cortney. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents James and Jessie Coe; sisters Irene Bell and Lucille Boman; and brother, James Coe.




Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
