Child CPPR classes offered

Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH) will offer four classes on infant and child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in 2006. “CPR for Family & Friends” is being offered at no charge for those who wish to participate. Funding for the classes is provided by a grant by First 5 of Nevada County.

In one four-hour class, participants will learn to recognize the signs of life-threatening emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, breathing difficulties, respiratory arrest and choking; and learn to perform CPR and relieve foreign body airway obstruction.

All four classes will be held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The classes are offered March 18, June 17, Sept. 23, and Dec. 2. Pre-registration is required, for more information call SNMH Educational Services at 274-6108.
