Charlotte Bansemer

Services for Charlotte Leah Bansemer of Grass Valley will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Bansemer died Tuesday, Dec. 10, in Grass Valley. She was 95.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1907, in Santa Monica, to Caleb Lincoln and Ida Louise (Hunchberger) Meyer. She graduated from Santa Monica High School and Healds Business College. She married Arthur Gustav Bansemer on Aug. 30, 1930. She worked for her fathers grocery store. She was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the Grace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley. She enjoyed playing tennis and swimming. She also enjoyed flowers, her garden, and many songs.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth A. Bansemer of Oregon, Gordon E. Bansemer of Idaho and Donald Bansemer of Oregon; brothers Lee and Carl Meyer of California; sister Ruth Meyer of California; grandchildren David F., James C. and Sheri A. Barnes, John, and Bonnie L. Dewitt, Dwayne and Mark Bansemer and Sabrina Turner; great-grandchildren, Kristi L., Kenton D. and Chase K. Bansemer, Trevor W. and Morgan Barnes, Christopher, Lisa and Elizabeth Dewitt, Leah and Rachel Turner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bansemer, in 1982.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
