CHARLES OZANICH

Charles C. Ozanich died Aug. 9 in Grass Valley. He was 74.

Private Services were held. Burial took place at New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley.

Mr. Ozanich was born Aug. 11, 1933, in La Belle, Pa., to Paul T. Ozanich and Alma Sablotney. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in Korea. He married Betty S. Carman on Feb. 19 1955, at the Methodist Church in Nevada City.



Mr. Ozanich worked as a Real Estate Broker for 34 years and a VA building inspector for five years. He volunteered for Grass Valley Fire Department Company #1 for 28 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Shriners. He enjoyed fishing and his latest hobby was his Model A 1930 two door.

Mr. Ozanich is survived by his wife, Betty Ozanich of Grass Valley; daughters and sons-in-law Viki and William of San Diego, Terri and Brian of Nevada City, and Nicole and Kenneth of Grass Valley; son, Charles A. “Tony” of Grass Valley; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.




He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Paul and Richard, and sisters Florence and Josephine.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grass Valley Fire Department Company #1.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
