Charles Madenford

Services for Charles Madenford of Penn Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Lake Wildwood Clubhouse.

Mr. Madenford died Monday, March 20, in Sacramento. He was 69.

He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Kirbyville, Pa., to Charles and Lucille Madenford. He graduated from Womelsdorf High School in Womelsdorf, Pa. and from Penn State University in Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Joan on June 15, 1957, in Hamlin, Pa. He was self employed in C.J. Consulting. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 307 in Womelsdorf, Pa., the American Legion in Annville, Pa., the Lake Wildwood Mens Golf Club, and the Wilderness Unlimited Club. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, golf, reading, and was a history buff.



He is survived by his wife, Joan Madenford of Penn Valley; son and daughter-in-law Charles Henry Madenford IV and Regina Madenford of Lake of the Pines; mother, Lucille Madenford of Lebanon, Pa.; and brother, Eugene Madenford of Harrisburg, Pa. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles C. Madenford in 1993.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Aid Thrift Store, 317 S. Auburn St., Grass Valley 95945.
