Charles Howe

Memorial services for Charles “Charlie Tuna” Rowland Howe of Grass Valley will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Gold Country Calvary Chapel, 13026 LaBarr Meadows Road in Grass Valley. The phone number is 274-2108. In accordance with his wishes, his body was donated to science.

Mr. Howe died Thursday, Jan. 29, at a Grass Valley Convalescent Hospital. He was 62.

He was born May 25, 1941, in Grass Valley to Rowland Howe and Violet Faye Jones. He graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1959 and then Chico State College. He was married to Deborah Howe. He was a handyman and electrician. He was a member of E Clampus Vitus. He enjoyed making specialty lighting.



He is survived by his brothers Arthur of Pollack Pines, Willard of Camus, Wash., and Robert of Las Vegas, Nev.; uncle and aunt Bill and Betty of Chicago Park; children Diane Rene and Charles Jr.; grandchildren Crystal Gayle, Tana and Dustin; and numerous other aunts, uncles and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kitty.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.
