Change is welcome

Regarding the “liberal anger” toward the Bush administration policies: Has it gone unnoticed that this anger is caused by concern and shame that the needs of our country are so great, our present policies so dangerous that we are not just angry but worried?

Can we live with hungry children, medical negligence and inferior education? The minimum wage is making it impossible for families to survive. The tragedy of lost jobs and unemployment insurance running out doesn’t seem a concern for this administration. Many unemployed families are living in poverty. Environmental policies are negligent in preserving our country’s needs and beauty. More awareness of the danger of our environmental polices is urgent.

How can we be invading, destroying and killing people in a country that did us no harm? We read about “innocent lives” being lost, many of our own, in the name of “fighting the terrorists.” We are rapidly destroying their country, killing their people. Just who are the “terrorists?” A change of administration would be welcome and all of us, including “liberals” would hopefully be on a road to sanity.
