Center for the Arts hosts open house

Poetry, song, spoken word and drama performances will be part of Saturday’s open house at the Center for the Arts.

From 1 to 5 p.m., the center will celebrate recent renovations which includes building upstairs dance studios, an Off Center Stage black-box theater and additional bathrooms.

In addition, the nonprofit center now owns the building.

Performances will be by Sierra Dance Institute, FUBAR Theater Company, Charlie Brock & Richard Ellers, Venus-Serpentina Dance Theater, Chris Olander, Paul Emery and Eli Rush, and Peter Wilson.

Included in the free open house will be refreshments and guided tours.

Call 274-8384 for more information about the open house.
