Cecelia Lane

Cecelia Christina Ann Lane died June 15 in Grass Valley. She was 70.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley. Burial will take place at New Elm Ridge Cemetery. Services will be administered by Ba’ hai Faith. A reception will follow the service at 841 Old Tunnel Road, Nevada City Senior Apartments Dining Room, and will last until 2 p.m.

Ms. Lane was born March 9, 1935, in Santa Barbara to Robert D. Robles and Barbara J. Wilson. She graduated from Arroyo Grande High School on June 2, 1953. She worked at the Nevada County Assessor’s Office. She enjoyed singing and songwriting as “Ann Christi,” acting, and poetry.

Ms. Lane is survived by her brother, Jerry Robles of Woodside; sisters Nancy Stidham of Angered, Sweden and Patricia Chase of Torrance; son, Michael Skovgaard of North San Juan; daughters Kathryn Marx of Sacramento, Patricia Tanrioger of Tucson, Ariz., and Christina Skovgaard Del Re of North San Juan; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Robles; mother, Barbara J. Wilson and brother, Robert Robles.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
