Carville awarded for Loma Rica

Loma Rica developer Phil Carville will be honored at Sierra Business Council’s 2008 Vision 2020 Awards Celebration Thursday, March 19 in Sacramento.

Each year the non-profit group recognizes individuals who foster community vitality, environmental quality, economic prosperity and social fairness, according to a release from the group.

Carville, the CEO of Carville Sierra Inc., is being recognized for his work on the Loma Rica Ranch project in Grass Valley. He is known as a spokesman for new urbanism, traditional neighborhood design and smart growth within the Sierra Nevada.

Others recognized at the event are a restaurant owner and rancher in Truckee, a man who built trails in Mammoth Lakes and a director of a land trust group in the Feather River watershed.
