Carl Baehr

A celebration of life service is tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, June 16, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Auburn, for Carl Bayard Baehr.

Mr. Baehr passed away June 4, 2007, after a 10-year battle against cancer. He was 36.

Mr. Baehr was a 1990 graduate of Placer High School. He learned to swim at 6 months and began skiing at age 2, two sports in which he excelled.



He loved Auburn and his job at Gold Rush Chevrolet-Subaru. He enjoyed sailing, golfing and motorcycling on his Harley. He was a home-loving man, enjoyed computer gaming, movies, reading, barbecuing and gardening. Mr. Baehr was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Auburn and the Masons Eureka Lodge No. 16.

Mr. Baehr is survived by his mother and stepfather, Violet Ray (Nelson) Lacson and Donald R. Lacson of Auburn; aunts Joan M. Nelson of Nevada City and Molly Rapp of Mahwah, N.J.; uncles Michael J. Nelson of Benicia, Walter B. Baehr of Pioneer and Edward A. Rapp of Mahwah N.J.; grandparents, Edward and Ann Baehr of Meeks Bay Tahoe, Calif.; father, Carl E. Baehr; cousins Charles Rapp, Dan Rapp and Jim Rapp of Mahwah, N.J., Jenni Toedtemeier of Grass Valley, Debby Engusen of Auburn, Kimberly and Tracy Rapp and Annette and Donald Lacson.




In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mr. Baehr’s name to the Make-a-Wish Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
