Careful how you answer

In recent forums and print, when asked about unprecedented challenges with drugs in the county, it strikes me curiously that Mr. Conklin continues to respond by claiming pride over forming and chairing several behavioral intervention programs, etc. Surely he does not mean to communicate an admission of failure, since the inquiry is about the “rising” problem. A “canned” response full of self-accolades, none of which have apparently had an effective outcome, contradicts the style of a smart and progressive leader. I want a supervisor who will answer my questions thoughtfully, even if I don’t agree.
