Captain’s corner

Carole keeps saying the best is yet to come and it’s our delightful task to determine exactly what that is! Come to a Meltdown creative planning session next week, Tuesday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the Grass Valley United Methodist Church, 236 S. Church St., Wesley Hall. (Park in front or rear.)

Team captains (or their surrogate) along with participants needing teammates are invited. We’ll brainstorm on the best way to keep the Meltdown going forward (no VW bugs or school buses.) E-mail me in advance of the meeting your great ideas ( One idea – have a reunion/movie party and show all the video clips from our various TV segments!

We’ll also be forming some new teams. If you need to join a team or re-form a team, you need to come.

Important: Please continue to report total team weights on Mondays. We’re eager to hit that four-ton, 8,000-pound mark! The Web site will continue to be updated.

Finally, if you haven’t yet completed a Meltdown evaluation questionnaire, please do so quickly. Your feedback is invaluable, particularly as other communities seek our advice. If you need the Web site link for the questionnaire, please e-mail Hope to see you Tuesday.
