Captain’s corner

We’re still growing (participants) and shrinking (weight) at the same time! New participants still sign up to melt down!

Won’t it be fun to show off our slimmer selves at the Mardi Gras parade? Come in team costume, or wear your button and Meltdown T-shirts (available for $8 at South Yuba, Club Sierra, Courthouse Athletic, Fast and Fit). On Sunday, meet at the Veterans Hall parking lot on Cottage Street at 1:30 p.m.

Captains – please complete the Meltdown questionnaire found on the Web site at http://www.theunion.com/meltdown. Help other communities benefit from our experience.

Kudos to the following teams who are at the top of the list for most weight-lost averaged per member: Half Ton of Fun, Losing Weight in Style (No. 2), Four Ladies and a Rogue, Sierra Home Care, We Three, and Initial Attack.

A reminder – the three top teams will select prizes Tuesday night. Plan ahead. Check the prize list on the Web site so you’re prepared. To be eligible, team weight must be e-mailed (meltdownusa@earthlink.net) or phoned in at 478-1107 by midnight Monday, Feb. 23 and be present to win.

Bring a friend to share the celebration Tuesday night! All prizes, including a surprise, will be awarded.
