Can’t ignore facts

We cannot ignore these facts. Bush junior was not elected by the people in 2000. The electoral process was sabotaged in Florida. Bush was nominated by five out of nine judges. 2004 deficit, $450 billion. Average income growth from 2000-2002, minus 9.2 percent. CEO pay growth in 2003, 27 percent. Ration of CEO to worker pay in 2003, 3001 to 1. Jobs lost since Bush took office 1.7 million. Manufacturing jobs lost in 2003, 582,000. 2005 defense budget $447 billion.

U.S. Military killed in Iraq as of July, 1,041; wounded, 11,700. Civilians killed, 14,673 estimate. Cost of Bush Medicare proposal, $534 billion. Cost increase of prescription drugs in 2003, 8.7 percent. Uninsured increase since 2000, $3.8 million. Additional profits the pharmaceutical industry will realize from Bush Medicare initiative, $139 billion. Tax break for top 1 percent earners, $96,634; bottom 60 percent earners, $350.

Two hundred environmental protection laws have been changed or eliminated for the benefit of the coal and oil industries. We cannot respect a president who is leading the country into chaos, unnecessary wars and bankruptcy. According to historians, the Bush administration is the worst ever; the best one, Theodore Roosevelt.
