Byron Rockwell

Byron S. Rockwell, 79, of Lake of the Pines died Thursday, Jan. 15, in Auburn.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no services.

Mr. Rockwell was born Aug. 20, 1924, in San Francisco, to Albert W. and Helen Rockwell. He served in the Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He married Bebe Smith. He owned Rockwell West Inc., a high-end furniture company, for 43 years. He was an artist. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and gardening.



He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bebe, of Lake of the Pines; daughters Christine Rockwell of Oakland and Holly Rockwell of Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Albert.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.




Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society of Northern California Grass Valley Branch.
