Professor Peter Hernes from University of California, Davis, will be the presenter at a gathering of the Contemporary Issues study group and speaker series on climate change. He will address the effects of climate change on land, air and water resources. The session begins at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, and concludes at 10:45 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 W. Main St., Grass Valley. Coffee and goodies are available at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome, and admission is free.
