Time management expert Machen MacDonald to speak Friday
Time management expert and business coach Machen MacDonald of ProBrilliance Leadership Institute will be conducting a two-hour workshop to help small business owners and sales professionals learn to better manage their time and their productivity Friday.
The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Nevada County Contractor’s Association, the Grass Valley Downtown Association, the Nevada County Association of Realtors and the Nevada County Regional Chamber have joined forces to make this time management seminar available to the local community.
The five organizations have created a yearlong workshop series titled “Striking Gold in Your Business” to help local companies and merchants better succeed at growing their businesses. This month’s workshop will be held at the Nevada County Contractor’s Association conference center, located at 149 Crown Point Court in Grass Valley, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. It will be led by author and master business coach Machen MacDonald.
The workshop entitled “Managing the TIME of Your Life and Your Business” will help participants learn how to better manage their priorities, energy, efforts and enthusiasm to get and stay on top of their schedule and projects so they can get more done in less time.
“In this day and age, whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a teacher or a business owner, the demand on our time has become very challenging and we don’t see it getting any easier. The Chamber wanted to create a program to help our community learn some valuable tools that can make their life easier and be more productive. By joining forces with the other business organizations in town, we are now able to bring in great speakers for this series,” said Keith Davies, CEO of the Greater Grass Valley Chamber.
“We had Machen facilitate his time management workshop last year for our members. He shared several concepts from his bestselling book ‘Managing The TIME of Your Life’ and the feedback from our members was extremely enthusiastic. They got a lot of useful tools to take back and be more productive,” said Barbara Bashall, executive director, NCCA.
As a certified business coach for the last 10 years and owner of five successful businesses, MacDonald brings plenty of real-life experience to a dynamic, humorous and fast-paced presentation on managing time and priorities to get more done.
The workshop is open to the public. The cost is $25. Members of NCCA, GVDA, NCAOR, and Chamber receive a $10 discount and pay only $15. The admission price includes lunch. Call the Nevada County Contractors Association at 530-274-1919 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your seats for Friday’s workshop.
