Center of Movement, a Pilates and fitness studio, will hold an open house Thursday to celebrate its relocation to a larger, redesigned space in downtown Grass Valley.

The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the new location at 107 W. Main St., Suite C.

The studio offers a variety of Pilates and fitness classes in its new 1,500-plus-square-foot space. Studio owner Haven Carravelli has also become an Integrated Teacher Training trainer and is now offering ITT Pilates certification on site.

Classes in Pilates are available both for private and group settings, including mat and equipment Pilates. In addition, Carravelli has hand-picked certified fitness instructors to teach classes in the fitness gym, offering a wide variety of choices such as yoga, mamilates, zumba, TRX, R.I.P.P.E.D., kettlebells, Bodykey, master stretch, booty barre and fusion — the latter a dance fitness class.

The 18-year-old studio has been under Carravelli’s ownership for the last five years. She says her mission for the studio is to facilitate wellness, healing, fitness, and optimal care of your body.

“This new space enables that vision to soar,” Carravelli said.
