Clock Tower Records to celebrate anniversary

Clock Tower Records is celebrating four years in business in Grass Valley.

The store, located at 130 W. Main St., will commemorate the anniversary on Oct. 14. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day; there will be a Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting at 5:30 p.m., and acoustic live music from 5-7 p.m.

In addition, there will be a drawing for two gift certificates, free giveaways and an all-day store-wide 10 percent discount.

Owner Curt Smith, an avid vinyl collector, formerly owned Eco Community Thrift before opening Clock Tower Records in 2011.

Vinyl is “a passion I’ve had since I was 13 years old,” Smith said.

His store offers more than 20,000 items, including vinyl, CDs, record players, stereo gear, vintage posters and more. Customers can also buy online at
