Bruins’ playoff path comes to end

No. 3 Valley Christian of San Jose stopped second-seed Bear River 43-33 Saturday in the CIF NorCal Div. IV semifinals.

Bear River, the two-time Sac-Joaquin Section D-IV champion, closed its 2006-07 campaign with a 25-8 record. Valley Christian advances to play top seed St. Patrick/St. Vincent of Vallejo in next Saturday’s NorCal title game.
