“Charley’s Aunt” visits Grass Valley the next few weekends at City Centre Playhouse.

The classic stage farce, written by Brandon Thomas more than a hundred years ago, is set in England at a time when chaperons were required during courting. The characters test the period’s morals as they desire to be with the opposite sex.

Community Players of Nevada County presents the play. Show times are Friday and Saturday and May 17, May 18, May 24, May 25, May 31 and June 1. All performances are at 8 p.m.

Admission is $15 general and $13 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets are at The Book Seller and the playhouse. The playhouse is at 127-A Bank St. Call 477-1107 for details.
