Grass Valley First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church offers a variety of musical worship experiences. The Worship Choir and Orchestra play every Sunday. A praise team leads the congregation to worship with blended musical styles. The Worship Choir will sing “Here I am Lord” with Maryanne Slade-Troutman as soloist. The offertory music will be “Give Me Jesus” by Don Baggett.

“The Blessings of Salvation” will continue the series of sermons in Ephesians by Pastor David Hagey 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Healing Rooms of Nevada County

The Healing Rooms of Nevada County are open at the Conference Rooms of Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. We pray for healing for the body soul, and spirit. Everyone is welcome whether you attend church or not. No appointment is necessary and there is no fee.

Mountain Stream Meditation Center

Mountain Stream Meditation Center, a Buddhist Insight meditation group, meets Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Wild Mountain Yoga, 574 Searls Ave. in Nevada City. First Baptist Church of Nevada City welcomes you. Join us on Sundays for Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. and worship services at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday Pastor Bill Romell will bring the message, entitled: “Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen – Part 2” with the text from James 1:1-12.

Sierra Center for Positive Living

At the Sierra Center for Positive Living our mission statement is: Inspiring People to Live Spiritually Awakened Lives. The theme for February is, “Beyond Courage.” The Rev. Sandra Fairbanks message this Sunday is on “Self Respect.” The book by Alan H. Cohen, “Why Your Life Sucks: And What You Can Do About It,” has been an inspiration for the current series of talks. The service starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Banner Grange Hall, 12629 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley.

The North San Juan United Methodist Church worship service on Sunday is at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Judson O. Gears, pastor, will preach, “God is Not Angry With You.” There is a church potluck at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at 10 a.m. there is a Bible study at the church. The community is invited.
