Peace Lutheran Church
Pastor Richard Johnson will preach at both services at Peace Lutheran Church this Sunday. The identical services are at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. The church is located at 828 W. Main St. in Grass Valley, and all are welcome.
At the 9:30 a.m. education hour, Pastor Johnson continues his class on the Gospel of mark, while Pastor Dean Eatman leads a group that is reading through the Bible in 90 days. Child care is provided during the entire Sunday morning program.

Pray Nevada County
Seeking God on behalf of our communities. Open to all Christians. Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries. Since August 1997, 15-25 people from eight-to-12 congregations have met each week to pray for our communities. February meetings will be held at the United Methodist Church in Grass Valley.

Penn Valley Community Church
The Lord’s Day Worship Service begins every Sunday at 10 a.m. at Penn Valley Community Church with Pastor Thomas Gregoire. Music is led by the Penn Valley Church Worship Team Sunday School from nursery to adult study is at 9 a.m. The children are excused for Kidz Church during the 10 a.m. Service. Sierra Pines United Methodist
Pastor Don Lee’s sermon topic for this Sunday is “The Kursk Syndrome” and is based upon Psalm 41, 2 Corinthians 1: 18-22, Isaiah 43:18-25 and Mark 2: 1-12. It’s hard to ask for help and sometimes we have to step up and offer. In Mark’s story, a paralyzed man is healed at the hands of Jesus…but he would never have made it without the help of four bold friends.

Solid Rock Christian Fellowship

“The blessing of the Lord are rich” is the theme for the month of February at Truth Worship Center 1784 Ridge Road in Grass Valley.
Sunday morning and worship service begins at 10 a.m. The message will be entitled “The great gift from God,” the key verse is “Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Sunday School is available for all children and young people. Sunday evening praise and worship service begins at 6 p.m.

Twin Cities Church

February is healing time at Unity In The Gold Country. Each Sunday we are exploring an aspect of healing in our lessons. This Sunday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Joe Sloan’s lesson is entitled “Forgiveness.”

Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains
We are all called. In “Answering the Call,” UUCM member and seminary student Yvonne Schumacher Strejcek and four fellow seminarian colleagues from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley will explore who or what is calling, the choices we have in listening to and hearing our callings, the leap of faith that may be required to respond, and how they are answering in faith, individually and together.
