Christian Life Center

Following a time of inspirational music and worship, Pastor Jerry Stroup will be delivering our sermon on Sunday. Christian Science Church



On Sunday at 10 a.m. the subject of the lesson sermon will be MIND. The Golden Text is from Romans: “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! … For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever.”

Wednesday evening meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. Short readings of timely concern, are read from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The church is located at 375 Crowne Point circle in Whispering Pines. For more information call 273-9452.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

You are invited to hear guest speakers under the direction of Stake President Rod Brower on Sunday. One of the speaker’s topics will be: “How can we have kindness and courtesy to all.” Matthew 18:21,22: Then came Peter unto him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but Unti seventy times seven.

The speakers can be heard in all 12 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ congregations. For Grass Valley, Nevada City and Penn Valley, the speakers may be heard at the Nevada City Chapel, 615 Hollow Way, at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., or 1 p.m. Sunday school for children and adults is held at 10:20 a.m., 12:20 p.m. or 2:20 p.m. Visitors are welcome. Grace Lutheran Church

Grace Lutheran Church, on Ridge Road, next to Nevada Union High School, welcomes you to worship this Sunday. This week, Pastor Degner’s sermon theme will be, “God’s Seal of Ownership,” based on II Corinthians 1:18-22. God, in Christ, sets his seal of ownership upon us, that we might be assured, and confident that God’s love and mercy are always with us. No matter what our malady, Christ give us strength and healing; the greatest healing of all being that which frees us from fear of eternal death and separation from the God of Life.

Services are at 9 a.m. every Sunday with Family Christian Education Hour following at 10:30 a.m.

The Good News Project

The Good News Project offers prayer for healing every Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Higgins Lions Community Center, 22490 E. Hacienda Dr. (one mile past LOP entrance).
