Breastfeeding incident

It must have been a very slow news day at The Union if you would put this lady’s picture and the accompanying article on the front page on Friday, Aug. 8.

For one thing, it’s “much ado about nothing.” This lady got her 15 minutes of fame, as they say, for something that should have been handled quietly and professionally. What is with the media now, that they feel they have to “demonize” every little mistake that a government worker makes? I would like to know if the lady attempted to cover herself with a receiving blanket or if she just lifted/opened her shirt and exposed her breast in public. The article didn’t say.

Let’s all just cool down and give the employees a break for a change. If they made a mistake, allow them to apologize to the lady and move on. It shouldn’t be front-page news.
