Bobby Dan Brock

There will be no services for Bobby Dan Brock, also known as Danny, who passed away on Feb. 19 after a short illness.

Mr. Brock was born in 1937 to William Jennings and Veda Brock in Texas. The family moved to Southern California in 1947. After high school, Mr. Brock went to work for Hughes Aircraft, where he retired after 34 years as a machinist. He then delivered air freight for six years.

In 1984, Mr. Brock married Donna Gill. They moved to Nevada City in 1992 and lived on Red Dog Road for 11 years. The couple then moved to Carson City, Nev., to be closer to family.



Mr. Brock was a member of SIRS, the Nevada City Elks and the Carson City Elks. He enjoyed bowling, ocean fishing and family activities.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Brock; daughter, Melinda Brock, stepdaughters Dana Peregrina, Laura Duffin and Shelly Harmon; stepson, Scott Gill; eight grandchildren; sisters Norma Banning and Jo Banning; brother, Hack Brock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
