Blotter: Car batteries, truck stolen in Grass Valley

10:43 a.m. Wednesday ” A caller from a business on the 500 block of Freeman Lane reported someone was caught on tape stealing car batteries earlier in the morning. Two men went around to the back of the business, loaded about 21 batteries into a pickup and drove away. An officer took a report for theft.

4:19 p.m. Wednesday ” A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a his red 1993 Chevrolet truck was taken sometime overnight. The keys had not been left in the truck. Police took a report for a stolen vehicle.
