Kickin’ It Martial Arts will be at its new location with expanded hours starting today.

The business is moving from 441 Memorial Lane to 760 E South Auburn St.

Seven classes will be held from 3 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

WindHorse Rugs could open at its new Nevada City location by Friday.

The business closed its doors at 120 N. Auburn St. earlier this month and has worked on sprucing up its new space at 317 Spring St. in time for the June opening.

WindHorse Rugs will share space architect Nori Whisenand at the Deer Creek Studio on Spring Street.


The Studio, a new pottery business, recently opened up on Joerschke Drive.

Open studio hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 135 A Joerschke Drive.

The New Moon Cafe in Nevada City is staying put, despite rumors to the contrary, the business owners said.

The 203 York St. coffee shop owners and founders, Peter Selaya and Buzz Crouch, recently purchased the building from its owner Ruby Orey.

Selaya and Crouch have owned the business for the past nine and a half years.
