Bill Braden

Bill Braden, 81, of Grass Valley died Wednesday, Dec. 11, at home.

No services are planned.

Mr. Braden was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Bradenville, Pa., to Clyde and Alice (Oak) Braden. He served in the U.S. Army for nine years as a private and was a World War II veteran. He married Dorothy Bidek on Jan. 27, 1950. He was a welder and mechanic. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed gambling.



He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Debbie Braden of Grass Valley; daughter, Clara Louise Braden of Portland, Ore.; grandsons Michael Braden of Grass Valley and Jeremy Herber of Portland, Ore.; and granddaughter, Laura Braden of Grass Valley.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy (Bidek) Braden.




Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 17464 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
