Betty Dutcher

Private family services will be conducted for Betty J. Dutcher of Grass Valley.

Mrs. Dutcher died Monday, Sept. 23, at home. She was 77.



She was born Jan. 19, 1925, in Minnesota to George and Hazel Shaw. She was raised in the Bay Area. She worked as a motel manager for more than 25 years. She was a resident of South Lake Tahoe for eight years, where she managed the Lone Pine Lodge. She lived in Grass Valley for the past year. She enjoyed ceramics.

She is survived by her sons, Chuck Henry and Howard Henry, both of Grass Valley; daughter Judy Coleman of Grass Valley; sisters Lila Casey of Grass Valley, Joan Devilla of Redding and Victoria McFarland of Folsom; brother, Harlow Shaw of Redding; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and seven great grandchildren.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
