Bertha Hannebrink

Private services for Bertha (Reuter) Hannebrink were conducted Sunday, Aug. 22, on the Hannebrink family ranch.

Mrs. Hannebrink died Monday, Aug. 9, in Citrus Heights. She was 96.

She was born Jan. 18, 1908, in Goshen. She married Benjamin Hannebrink Jr. on Sept. 24, 1939. Bertha and her husband were chicken ranchers, first in Bellflower, and eventually in Nevada City. She was a past member of the Eastern Star Aurora Chapter. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and crossword puzzles.



She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Patsy Hannebrink of Penn Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Jeffie and Forrest Moffett of Orangevale; grandchildren Melody Hannebrink-Vance, Melissa Hannebrink, Jeff “Randy” Golden, and Shellie Golden; great-grandchildren Allen, Anthony, Cody, and Hunter Golden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Hannebrink Jr., in 1994.
