Bernard Rosen

Bernard J. Rosen, 95, of Grass Valley died Sunday, Sept. 5, at home.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.

Mr. Rosen was born Dec. 5, 1908, in New York, N.Y., to Abraham and Dora (Knaiz) Rosen. He graduated from New York Public School and from Cooper Union College in New York. He married Jeanette on Nov. 25, 1931, in New York City. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1936 to 1947. He then worked as an executive for Cauldwell-Wingate Construction Company from 1947 to 1980. He enjoyed traveling and reading.



He is survived by his sons Steven L. Rosen of Rolla, Mo., Richard A. Rosen of Castleton, N.Y., and Joseph A. Rosen of New York. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette S. Rosen, in 1990.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grass Valley Library, 207 Mill St., Grass Valley 95945.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
