Bear River High School puts on The Ritz

The Choral music department of Bear River High School will stage their annual musical revue, “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, May 19 & 20 at 7:00 p.m. Four BRHS choirs will perform in this fast-paced variety show with many surprises to delight the audience. The production is produced and directed by Cherry Hayes, BRHS choral music director.

Act 1 features choirs in a variety of great show tunes, interspersed with solo specialty acts and concludes with the award winning and dynamic Starlite Express show pop ensemble who will perform their energetic competition set “Starlite Party”. Act 2 opens with the tight harmonies of the vocal jazz choir, Jazz Unlimited. This amazing award winning group will share some favorite jazz standards for all to enjoy. The evening will conclude with all four choirs joining together for a twenty-five minute colorful and fun revue of “Chicago”.



The audience will be seated around candle-lit tables in a nightclub type atmosphere in the transformed BRHS multi purpose room. Beverages and a gourmet dessert will be served to all guests during the intermission. Tickets go on sale at the BRHS student store beginning May 8. All seats are reserved with Adults $9. and Students/Seniors $8. Tickets will be sold at the door if available, although this show often sells-out.
