Beale Air Base employee dies

An active-duty Air Force member stationed at Beale Air Force Base’s 9th Reconnaissance Wing died early Thursday morning.

The Air Force member was transported to Rideout Memorial Hospital’s emergency room and was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m.

The name of the member is being withheld until notification of next kin has been completed.



“Our hearts and prayers go out to the family during their time of grief,” said Col. Larry Wells, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander. “We’ll do everything possible to support this family and our Team Beale family during this time of need.”

According to the Air Force, additional information will be released as it is received.
