Beach Taber

Beach Taber of Lake of the Pines died Saturday, Aug. 31. He was 74.

Mr. Taber was born Sept. 29, 1927. He graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, as a pre-dental student. He served in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of 1st lieutenant and serving as a heavy-weapons instructor.



After his discharge, he entered an electronics school and earned an electronics engineering degree. He also worked in sales, retiring at the age of 49. After he moved to Lake of the Pines in 1977, he worked in real estate for 14 years. He enjoyed water sports, sailing, fishing and golf.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene of Lake of the Pines; daughter, Lisa of Grass Valley; sons Kirk of San Francisco, Stephen of Portland, Ore., and Beach Jr. of Palm Desert; and grandchildren Brendon and Vanessa of Grass Valley, and Dawn Marie and Summer of Palm Desert.




Memorial contributions may be made to the Gambo Health Clinic in Auburn or to Hospice of the Foothills.
