Be wary of Pruett’s claims

Be skeptical of what Barry Pruett says. Here are some examples:

Pruett’s mailer states Diaz “claims experience running the San Francisco Clerk-Recorder’s office when the elective office was raided by FBI over no-bid contracts and political abuse.”

This carefully crafted sentence is designed to mislead voters into thinking the FBI raided the clerk-recorder’s office. They raided the assessor’s office. This had absolutely nothing to do with Greg Diaz.

Pruett claims Diaz “violated California law by disclosing our vital information on the internet and putting our citizens at risk of identity theft.” Untrue. The only complaint came from … Barry Pruett. He wouldn’t provide supporting information. The county IT department spent thousands of taxpayer dollars investigating his claim – and found no security breaches.

AtPac software: The lawsuit is politically motivated. Placer County dropped AtPac (a Placer County company) because the software was outdated, inadequate and not certified by California. AtPac cost Nevada County far more money than the new software due to requirements for expensive consultants and additional staff. Pruett knows but ignores these facts. AtPac is backing Pruett.

There’s more, but I’m limited to 200 words.

Vote for our experienced, ethical, competent Clerk-Recorder Greg Diaz.
